From Affectionate Dog Lover to Pleasant Canine Instructor
Nicole Guillaume is the owner and head trainer for Amazing Mutts. She services Corona, Ca and the surrounding areas.
Nicole grew up in California and began training animals at a young age.
She grew up in a home that was always taking in different animals including birds, chinchillas, hamsters, dogs, cats and even a goat! It was only natural for her to develop a love and respect for her household pets, especially when she took on the task of training her roommate’s three very naughty dogs. From there, she began to train her friends’ and neighbors’ dogs too. This is a practice she continued into adulthood. As a result, Nicole has had a wide variety of working with different breeds. “It’s been a rough journey, but a fun one. Being a trainer has given me the opportunity to meet fascinating people, and truth be told, I love to work with people as much as I do with dogs. It’s a very rewarding experience.”
Nicole’s greatest joy in life is to strengthen the bond between owner and dog through one on one in-home training sessions. She’s a philanthropist who loves giving back to the community in terms of financial aid and / or volunteer work. She has also worked in the mortgage industry, architecture, and was a radio co-host for a national children’s radio station.
Her dog training mentors include:
Pamela Marxsen of Pam’s Dog Academy in San Diego,
Emily Larlham, of the Kikopup channel on youtube,
Nicole Wilde, author of Help For Your Fearful Dog and other fine books,
Victoria Stillwell of Animal Planet’s “It’s Me or the Dog”,
Ian Dunbar, founder of Sirius Pup and
Karen Pryor, founder of www.clickertraining.com.
She and her boyfriend own two dogs, a Basset Hound named Sara and a Siberian Husky named Lilly. They enjoy training them and are always looking for fun places to take them.
